David Beckham in Miami to pursue soccer stadium deal
Retired English football captain David Beckham lobbied Miami lawmakers on Wednesday to accept his planned 25,000-chair football stadium about the townis precious bayfront property.
Beckham, wearing a personalized black suit, went door-to-door in Miami-Dade posing for images, meeting with commissioners and lawmakers’ practices in downtown Miami through the day and morning.
Beckham’s policy for a futuristic, waterfront stadium close to the interface of Miami to accommodate a brand new Major League Soccer (MLS) business has encounter opposition from the team led by Royal Caribbean Cruises, which proposes that it’d hinder cruise and cargo operations.

The mayor’s alternate strategy has attracted the ire of many experts, including former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz along with a number of former town commissioners who claimed the area must become areas and plazas for that thousands of downtown Miami people currently residing in the city’s high-rises that once lay vacant following a town and nation’s property collapse.
